YouTube API Services

FeedGuardians uses YouTube API Services to provide comment moderation features for YouTube channels. By using our YouTube-related features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information collected through YouTube API Services is also handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

Data We Access via YouTube API Services

  • Your YouTube channel information (channel ID, name, and connected videos)
  • Comments and comment threads on your videos, for the purpose of moderation (analyzing, hiding, or responding to comments)
  • Basic video metadata (titles, IDs) needed to display and moderate comments

How We Use, Store, and Share This Data

  • YouTube data is used solely to provide comment moderation services you configure. We do not sell YouTube data or use it for advertising.
  • Comment data is processed by our moderation systems (including AI-based analysis) only to classify and act on comments per your settings.
  • We do not share YouTube API data with third parties except processors necessary to operate the service, and never for their independent use.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Stored YouTube data (comments and channel metadata) is retained only while your YouTube connection is active, and refreshed or deleted after no more than 30 days.
  • When you disconnect your YouTube channel or delete your account, we delete all stored YouTube API data associated with it within 7 days.
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting [email protected].

Revoking Access

In addition to disconnecting your channel inside FeedGuardians, you can revoke our access to your YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page.
