How to Snooze Someone on Facebook (Mobile & Desktop)
Snooze is the gentlest way to mute someone. It hides all their posts from your feed for 30 days, then they automatically come back—and Facebook never tells them.
The entry point is the same on the app and on facebook.com:
- Find a post from the person, Page, or group in your feed.
- Tap the three dots (⋯) in the top-right of that post.
- Tap "Snooze [name] for 30 days."
- A confirmation appears—their posts are now hidden for 30 days.
How to Unsnooze Someone Early
Changed your mind before the 30 days are up? You can reverse a snooze anytime:
- Tap the menu (☰) → Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Feed (older versions: "News Feed Preferences").
- Tap Snoozed to see everyone currently snoozed.
- Tap Unsnooze next to the name to bring their posts back.
Tip: If you snooze someone repeatedly, you probably want Unfollow (hides their posts indefinitely while staying friends) rather than re-snoozing every month.
Snooze vs Unfollow vs Block
Snooze — hides posts for 30 days, then auto-restores. Silent. Best for a temporary break.
Unfollow — hides posts indefinitely while you stay friends. Silent. Best for a permanent mute without unfriending.
Block — full cut-off; you both disappear from each other. Best for harassment. See your blocked list guide to manage who you've blocked.
Muting people one by one on your Page?
Snooze is for personal feeds. If you're a brand drowning in spam and trolls on your Page, FeedGuardians auto-hides unwanted comments across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok—so you don't manage it post by post.
